Moorfields Eye Unit at Potters Bar Community Hospital

Due to the increasing numbers of patients being admitted to hospitals across London, the NHS and Moorfields are facing significant challenges. To help protect our patients and our services, we are moving patient appointments to telephone and video consultations. 

We will continue to see those patients considered to be most at risk in person in clinic. If you’ve already been asked to come in, please attend your appointment as scheduled. Please do not come to Moorfields unless we have asked you to do so. We will contact patients as soon as possible to organise a telephone or video consultation.

Moorfields Eye Unit at Potters Bar is one of our local surgical centres, bringing expert eye care closer to patients' homes.

Located in Potters Bar Community Hospital, our eye unit provides more complex outpatient and diagnostic services for a range of eye conditions alongside day-case eye surgery for the local area.

By underground

The nearest tube station is Cockfosters on the Piccadilly Line, but there is no direct bus route from the tube to the hospital.

By train

The nearest station is Potters Bar, from which it is a short bus journey on the 84 to the hospital.

By bus

84 from Barnet to St Albans; the 234 from Potters Bar bus garage to Mill Hill; buses 242, 298, 313,302, 326 stop near hospital.

By car

There is limited free parking to patients and visitors.
