Moorfields Eye Centre at St George's Hospital

Due to the increasing numbers of patients being admitted to hospitals across London, the NHS and Moorfields are facing significant challenges. To help protect our patients and our services, we are moving patient appointments to telephone and video consultations. 

We will continue to see those patients considered to be most at risk in person in clinic. If you’ve already been asked to come in, please attend your appointment as scheduled. Please do not come to Moorfields unless we have asked you to do so. We will contact patients as soon as possible to organise a telephone or video consultation.

The Duke Elder Eye Unit at Moorfields at St George's Hospital is set to reopen on Wednesday 1 May following an extensive refurbishment.

The refurbished unit improves patient experience of our services at St George's by providing new theatres, clinics and waiting rooms in a modern and fit-for-purpose environment.

Moorfields Eye Centre at St George's is one of our district hubs, bringing expert eye care closer to patients' homes.

Located in the Lanesborough wing at St George's Hospital in Tooting, our eye centre provides comprehensive outpatient and diagnostic care for a wide range of eye conditions, as well as more complex eye surgery.

Tooting Broadway (northern Line) and is five minutes walk from the main pedestrian entrance in Effort Street.

by bus

Numbers 57, 155 and 219 to Blackshaw Road. Numbers 44, 57, 77, 133, 155, 219, 270, 280 and 355 to Tooting Broadway. Number G1 to St George's Hospital.

By car

St George's is conveniently located for road access via the A24 or A214. Parking is available on site.
