Moorfields Community Eye Clinic at Barking Hospital

Due to the increasing numbers of patients being admitted to hospitals across London, the NHS and Moorfields are facing significant challenges. To help protect our patients and our services, we are moving patient appointments to telephone and video consultations. 

We will continue to see those patients considered to be most at risk in person in clinic. If you’ve already been asked to come in, please attend your appointment as scheduled. Please do not come to Moorfields unless we have asked you to do so. We will contact patients as soon as possible to organise a telephone or video consultation.

Moorfields Community Eye Clinic at Barking is one of our community-based outpatient clinics, bringing expert eye care closer to patients' homes.

Located in Barking Community Hospital, our community eye clinic focuses predominantly on outpatient and diagnostic services for a range of eye conditions.

By tube

District Line to Upney. Barking Community Hospital is approximately a five-minute walk from the station.

By train

Barking is the nearest National Rail line train station on the C2C Network and the London Overground.

By bus

The 62 bus route serves Upney Lane. There is a bus stop for the 62 bus route close to Barking Station.

By car

Upney Lane is off the A123 and A124.
