Patient surveys

Moorfields Eye Hospital participates in a number of national patient surveys, as well as commissioning our own. These surveys are conducted on our behalf by an external company and are sent to a randomly selected number of patients. These are lengthy questionnaires that ask patients about their entire care pathway and allow us to see where we are doing well, and where we need to improve.

If you receive a questionnaire as part of one of these surveys, please complete it and return it so that we can learn from your experiences and continue to improve the services we provide.

The CQC published results are given on a scale of between 1 and 10 and each trust also receives a rating of better, about the same, or worse, on how it performs for each question, compared with most other trusts.

Over the past year we have received the results of four of these surveys, for Accident and Emergency, children’s day care, outpatient and adult day care. A summary of the results can be seen below.
