Moorfields remains open during tier four restrictions

Moorfields will be staying open as planned over Christmas and New Year for urgent and emergency care and planned clinics.

All patients who have appointments should come in for their appointments, as no clinics are being cancelled as a result of the announcement of tier four restrictions. This includes those people with appointments who live outside the areas affected by current tier four restrictions.

Some patients may feel anxious about coming in for their appointments right now, but don’t delay, please attend your appointment. We have put extensive safety measures in place; including face masks, increased provision for hand hygiene, Perspex screens and social distancing, to help patients and staff stay safe when visiting our hospitals, to help keep you safe.

Our waiting areas have fewer seats to maintain social distancing, so please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your appointment and enter the hospital by yourself unless you need a carer with you. We understand that you may need to travel in with, or be collected by, a companion, but to protect everyone, we ask that they do not remain in the hospital.

Our website has further details on attending appointments and a number of patients have shared their experiences of our hospitals during Covid with us.
