This Monday, 22 May, NIHR Moorfields Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) will be celebrating International Clinical Trials Day. This is to mark the anniversary of the first clinical trial by James Lind in 1747, investigating the causes of scurvy on board the HMS Salisbury.
Activities will be taking place in the exhibition hub near the entrance to Moorfields’ City Road hospital between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
These include:
• Post your thoughts on research on our interactive research tree.
• Register with ROAM to see if you are eligible to take part in any clinical trials – we will do the hard work searching for anything you may be suitable for.
• Talk to some of our friendly research team.
• Find out more about research at Moorfields.
We need healthy volunteers, as well as people with eye conditions, so anyone can register with ROAM!
