I’m an experienced low vision optometrist specialising in paediatric visual impairment at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I work within a multidisciplinary team alongside orthoptists, nurses, and family support officers to provide holistic care that supports both children and their families. My approach is positive and practical. I firmly believe that children with visual impairment have the capabilities to live a full and happy life. I focus on confidence building and helping young people develop the skillset to be able to advocate for themselves.
I have extensive experience as an extended role optometrist in paediatric general ophthalmology, working with a wide range of consultants. In addition, I am a senior clinician in adult low vision services, where I supervise other optometrists in low vision and refraction clinics and teach within a clinical setting. I also act as a pre-registration supervisor, helping to train future optometrists.
I hold a Professional Certificate in Low Vision and have published in Eye News. My commitment to education and outreach includes:
Alongside paediatric care, I am experienced in specialist contact lens fitting and working within retinal therapy unit clinics.
I aim to deliver holistic care that considers the bigger picture, ensuring every child and family receives support and guidance so they can recognise their own potential.
