Following a comprehensive recruitment process Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce Simmi Naidu as the new chief nurse and executive director of allied professionals.
Simmi comes with a wealth of experience and is joining Moorfields from Barts Health NHS Trust where she is deputy director of nursing at the Royal London and Mile End Hospitals. Barts Health runs five major London hospitals including The Royal London Hospital where Simmi is also director for inclusion.
Prior to this she has held a number of leadership roles including head of nursing and operations manager. Simmi is also a Florence Nightingale scholar having completed a Florence Nightingale Foundation Senior Leadership Scholarship.
I am delighted to be joining Moorfields, a hospital that is a leading force in ophthalmology and in delivering exceptional patient care. I’m joining at an incredibly exciting time as preparations begin to move to the new centre for advancing eye health in Camden in 2027 and I’m very much looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all
We would like to take the opportunity to thank our chief nurse and director of allied professionals, Sheila Adam, who is retiring from her role. Read about Sheila’s contribution and commitment to the nursing profession over the past 50 years.
