Governor elections

As an NHS foundation trust, Moorfields is accountable to its members, who are patients, staff and residents in the communities where we run services. Our members are represented by elected and nominated governors who form our membership council. The membership council represents the interests of foundation trust members and stakeholders to the board of directors and the management of the trust.

Governors play an important role in supporting the hospital and it is vital that we have candidates with a keen interest in the trust to apply. We hold elections for the membership council each year and in 2021 we have vacancies for a number of different constituencies as per the attached notice of election. To stand for election you must be a member of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust within the Constituency or Class for which you wish to stand as a candidate. If you do not know which Constituency or Class you are in, please contact the Returning Officer.

Members of the council:

  • Staff Constituency - Network Sites: Yasir Khan
  • Staff Constituency - City Road: Amit Arora
  • Public Constituency - North East London & Essex: Sean Cooke
  • Public Constituency – North Central London: Paul Murphy and Robert Goldstein
  • Public Constituency - North West London: Vijay Arora and Dinesh Solanki
