Tickets are still available for Moorfields’ annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday 19 July 2018 at LSO St Luke’s. Moorfields' AGM is a free event.
Against the backdrop of the 70th anniversary of the NHS this summer, it is relevant that our speakers are able to talk about progress made in eye care since the NHS was founded. This year’s speakers are Pearse Keane, consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields and NIHR clinician scientist and James Bainbridge, professor of retinal studies at UCL and consultant vitreoretinal surgeon at Moorfields, who will speak about their ground-breaking work in artificial intelligence and gene therapy respectively.
The AGM meeting commences at 2pm and ends at 4:30pm. A sandwich lunch will be available between 1 - 2pm.
Before the AGM, we would like to invite you to our inaugural ‘meet your governor’ event. This will take place prior to lunch from 12 - 1pm and will provide members with the opportunity to meet and network with their elected governors. (Please note that there are limited spaces for this event, so if you book for the AGM you will not automatically get a place for this).
Schedule of events:
- 12-1pm: Meet your govenor event
- 1-2pm: Sandwich lunch
- 2-4:30pm: Annual general meeting
- 4:30-5pm: Tea and coffee and networking
