Research interest / experience
- Current areas of interest are new treatments for choroidal neovascularisation (associated with age-related macular degeneration as well as other conditions) and novel treatments diabetic retinopathy.
- In am involved in laboratory as well as clinical research into treating a number of rare retinal diseases.
- Two year fellowship in medical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital as well as a period with Prof Gass and the Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, USA.
- Spent two and half years at the Jules Stein Eye Hospital, Los Angeles, USA, undertaking clinical training in uveitis as well as completing a higher research degree during this time.
- Clinical and research lead at Moorfields Eye Hospital for treatments for age-related macular degeneration.
