Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to ensuring that effective prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HCAIs) is embedded into everyday practice. Keeping patients safe from avoidable healthcare associated infections remains a high priority for the trust.
The trust has a statutory responsibility to be compliant with The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (DH, 2015). A requirement of this Act is for the Board of Directors to receive an annual report from the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC).
