Moorfields is committed to supporting staff who wish to participate in technical/professional courses, conferences, seminars or other forms of training and development which may be relevant to their posts.
The Learning Centre
The Trust has a dedicated education and training facility, the Learning Centre, which provides a modern, flexible, purpose-built learning environment allowing a wide variety of training to be delivered. It incorporates Moorfields Open Learning Centre (MOLE) which offers drop-in sessions from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm, offering advice and support for any IT-related learning.
The Learning Centre also offers a comprehensive range of staff development training including recruitment and selection, essential communications, appraisals, risk and safety, and induction.
European Computer Driving Licence
We also have a strong commitment to the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), the European-wide qualification demonstrating competence in computer skills. All our IT courses lead to this qualification and the Learning Centre is an accredited ECDL test centre.
