Focus on Inclusion (Equality Report, January 2012)

We have now released our  Equality report, Focus on Inclusion.  Over the last few months we have been reviewing equality, diversity and inclusion activity across the trust, considering what we do well, and what we could improve. Our staff have been vital in the creation of this report, so many thanks to all those who took part.

This report is part of our response to the Equality Duty which helps organisations carrying out public functions consider the needs of all individuals in their day to day work – in shaping policy, in delivering services, and in relation to their own employees.

Over the next two months (February/March 2012) we will hold focus groups with patients, community representatives and staff in order to help us to develop appropriate equality & diversity objectives. We will publish our objectives in April 2012.
