Underground: Northern Line (City branch) to Old Street station. Come out of exit 8 and follow the green painted line to the building. The Trust’s site at City Road in central London has a new main entrance. Patients and visitors coming to the hospital should now access the building via Cayton Street, which is the first turning on your left, a further 40 metres heading north down City Road from the old entrance.
Moorgate (Northern, Hammersmith and City, Circle, Metropolitan), Barbican (Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan) and Angel (Northern) are about a 10 minute walk away.
Train: Old Street station is on the First Capital Connect line, see the website link (opposite) for more information.
Liverpool Street, Kings Cross and Euston are all a short bus ride away.
Bus: 21,43, 55, 76, 141, 205, 214, 243, 271 and 394 serve City Road and Old Street. Check the TFL or Journey Planner websites for more information.
Car: Moorfields is on the A501, and is approximately 6.5 miles from junction one on the M1. There is very limited meter parking near the hospital. There are various car park near to the hospital, the nearest NCP car park is approximately 10 minutes walk/a bus ride away down City Road at Finsbury Square.
Congestion charge for vehicles: congestion charging operates in Central London, Monday - Friday, 7am - 6.30pm (excluding public holidays). City Road is located just inside the zone. Visitors coming in to the hospital should note that all side streets are within this zone, and if these are used you will be required to pay the charge. This can be paid at a machine located in Costcutter on City Road. There are alternative car parks close to the hospital (on Nile Street) that are situated outside the zone.

Train: Clapham Junction station is about 15 - 20 minutes walk away. A number of buses stop outside Clapham Junction station.
Queenstown Road and Battersea Park stations are about 20 – 25 minutes walk away.

Bus: The 49, 319 and 345 buses stop outside Bridge Lane Health Centre. The 44, 170 and 344 buses all stop on Battersea Park Road, about 2 – 5 minutes walk away.
Car: Upney Lane is off the A123 and A124.

There is limited pay and display parking on the streets around Bridge Lane Health Centre.

Underground: District Line to Upney. Barking Community Hospital is approximately a five-minute walk from the station.
Train: Barking is the nearest National Rail line train station on the C2C Network and the Silverlink North London Line.
Bus: The 62 bus route serves Upney Lane. There is a bus stop for the 62 bus route close to Barking Station.
Car: Upney Lane is off the A123 and A124.
Parking
Parking facilities are limited at the Upney Lane Centre. During busy periods, especially mornings, the car park is frequently full.
Some of the local streets are resident parking only. Please park with consideration for the residents in the local streets.

Bus or Coach Services: There are numerous other bus services around Bedfordshire that stop at Bedford Hospital. Train: Bedford Midland mainline station is situated about half mile from the hospital and is only a 10-15 minute walk away or short taxi ride.
Bedford St. John's Station is about a quarter of a mile from the hospital (about 5 minutes walk). Please note that this station may not be suitable for some people as it is unmanned, involves climbing steps to the main road and there is no taxi service from the station.

Underground: The Metropolitan line is part of the London Underground and serves Watford in Zone 7.
The station is in Cassiobury Park Avenue, at the junction with Metropolitan Station Approach, in the Cassiobury area of Watford. It is known locally as "Watford Met" to distinguish it from these and the other Watford stations, which are all operated by National Rail. Watford Met is a 30 minute walk to The Harlequin.
Train:There are three stations located in Watford. Watford High Street train station, on the London Overground line is located close to the shopping centre with access in to the centre from the Lower High Street. Watford Junction mainline train station is a ten minute walk from the centre. Regular services run to Watford Junction from Bushey, Harrow, Wembley and London Euston.

Watford High Street station is located on Lower High Street. Turn left out of the station and cross Exchange Road by the traffic lights into High Street. The Harlequin is on the right in about 100 yards.
Watford Junction station is about 10 minutes walk or a short bus ride – buses are available outside of the station front. To walk from Watford Junction cross the road by the pedestrian crossing outside the station into Clarendon Road opposite. After about half a mile at the end of Clarendon Road cross the ring road (Beechen Grove) into the High Street. The Harlequin is on the left.
Bus: Watford is well supported by bus services from all over the region and buses stop close to The Harlequin.

Car: The Harlequin is easy to get to by car. From junction 5 of the M1, use the A4008 (M1 link) to Watford. A slip road on the left before Beechen Grove enables you to drive under the ring road into the King's car park. On level 1 of the Kings car park, you can drive across to Queens car park to park or exit via the M1 link.
From junction 19/20 of the M25, follow signs to the town centre (A411/A41) and Centre Car Parks.

Parking
The Harlequin has three car parks with direct access to the shopping centre; Kings, Queens and Palace (Harlequin) providing over 2,000 car parking spaces. There are an additional four car parks in Watford town centre providing easy access to The Harlequin and Watford High Street; Palace (Charter), Church, Gade and Sutton providing over 2,500 spaces. The centre car parks open one hour before and close one hour after the shopping centre.

Underground: Central and District Lines to Ealing Broadway Station, which is 2 miles from hospital - buses 207,607 and 83 link the station and hospital.
Train: Ealing Broadway or Hanwell are the nearest train stations.
Bus: Buses 83,92 stop inside the hospital grounds. Numbers 207, 607, 282 stop just outside hospital.
Car: The hospital is on the A4020, and there is a Pay & Display car park in the hospital grounds and the current rate is £4.50 for 6 hours parking.

Train: Homerton Station (Silverlink North London Line) is a 5 minute walk from the hospital, which links to the tube network through Stratford station to the east and Highbury & Islington to the north and central London. Hackney Central Station links with Liverpool Street Station.
Bus: 236, 242, 52, W15, 308.
Car: The hospital is just off the A102. There is no on site parking except for disabled badge holders.

Train: Potters Bar Station, Darkes Lane - a short bus journey on the 84 to the hospital.

Train: Harlow Town is the closest railway station to the hospital. A regular train service operates to and from London, Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Airport.
A bus service operates from the station to the Town Centre. Taxis are also available. For more information about train times and services, visit the train line website.
Bus: The bus stop is located opposite the Eye Unit at the back of the site.
- Arriva no 6: 9am until 3/4pm – 5 and 35 minutes past from the town centre.

Underground: Victoria line to Seven Sisters and the Piccadilly line to Turnpike Lane, or Manor House which is a short bus ride to the hospital.
Train: Haringey Green on North London line and a short walk to Hospital or to Seven Sisters and short bus ride.
Bus: Buses 259 and 279 which can be caught from Seven Sisters station are a very short bus ride away (2 to 3 stops) to St Ann’s Road, but that the buses do not go directly to St Ann’s Hospital. The hospital is then a 10 to 15 minute walk along St Ann’s road or a second bus ride on the 67 bus along St Anns Road. The St Anns site is large and the Moorfields unit is at the rear of the site.

The clinic is on the ground floor of the second building after the main entrance, which it shares with the maternity unit.
Underground: Nearest station is Watford on the Metropolitan Line. However, there is no direct bus route between station and hospital.
Train: Watford High Street and Watford Junction stations (Silverlink Rail Services). Both stations are a short bus ride from the hospital. Watford Junction is a 20 minute walk from the hospital.
Bus: Numbers 6 and 10 go from Watford Junction Station to the hospital via Watford town centre. There is a bus stop just outside the hospital.
Car: M25 Junction 19 or 20, then follow A411 to A412, turning off on Cassio Road (A4178). Finally, turn right down Vicarage road (A4145). The hospital is well signposted along the route. There are parking facilities at the hospital for visitors.

Train and underground: Barnes station, for National Rail services, is a short ride from the hospital on bus routes 72 or 265, or is approximately 15 to 20 minutes walk away.
Hammersmith station, for District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines, is connected to Queen Mary’s Hospital by bus route 72.
Richmond station (for District line, London Overground and National Rail) and Wimbledon station (for District line, National Rail and tram services), are both linked to the hospital by bus route 493.

Bus: Bus routes 72, 265, 493, 969 and N74 stop directly outside Queen Mary’s Hospital on Roehampton Lane.
Routes 85, 170 and 430 stop about 10 minutes from the hospital on Medfield Street.
Parking: Car parking is available at Queen Mary’s, charged by the hour. Collect a ticket at the gate when you enter the car park, and pay before you exit. All of our ticket machines accept £5 and £10 notes.
Parking costs £1.60 an hour, up to a maximum £6.40.
Disabled badge holders may park free of charge in any of the designated parking bays.
There are seven motorcycle bays that are available free of charge.
The care park has two drop off and pick up points, one at the end of the bridge leading to the ground floor entrance and one just outside the lower ground floor entrance.
