It is a good idea to bathe and wash your hair the day before your operation, as you may be unable to do so for the first few days after surgery.  Also ensure you have enough food and essentials to last a couple of days at home because you may not feel like shopping.

What to bring

When you come to hospital, please bring:

  • medication and eye drops you have been prescribed,
  • spectacles or contact lenses you wear in their cases,
  • comfortable clothing, and
  • small change for phone calls, buying newspapers, etc.
