Responses to our bespoke day care survey carried out in early 2010 were broadly positive, with 97% of respondents rating their care as good or excellent, and 97% saying that doctors and nurses worked well together.

The day care survey was carried out by the Picker Institute Europe on behalf of the Moorfields, but was not part of the national survey process undertaken at other NHS organisations as Moorfields does not have the necessary number of beds to qualify for inclusion.  But using the same organisation - the Picker Institute Europe - to carry out the survey and using broadly the same questions ensures that we are collating information similar to other NHS trusts.

For the 2010 survey, 1,378 day care questionnaires were sent out, generating a response rate of 61%, slightly above the national average.
