The outreach service at Upney Lane deals only with clinic appointments. For information on eye emergencies, please see our accident and emergency section.
Patient facilities
The Friends of Barking Hospital tea bar is staffed by volunteers and is normally open from 9 am to 4pm, when light snacks and drinks can be purchased.
Please note that at busy times the shared waiting area at the Upney Lane Centre can become very overcrowded and result in problems with seating. We would request that you do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment time to help ease this situation. It would be helpful at busy times if patients could restrict the number of friends and relatives accompanying them.
