Moorfields patient transport service can be provided for patients who are medically restricted from using public or private transport and require the assistance of medically trained staff during their journey.

In order to qualify for hospital transport, we require written confirmation from the patient’s General Practitioner or a clinician in the community stating:

  • the medical reasons why the patient is restricted from travelling by public or private transport, and
  • how the reasons stated restrict the patient.

Please note that we do not provide transport for patients attending the accident and emergency department. The service is only available for patients attending booked clinical appointments.

For further information, please contact the transport department on 020 7566 2208/9 or fax 020 7566 2214.
