The Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group

The Cochrane Eyes and Vision group is an international network of individuals working to prepare, maintain and promote access to systematic reviews of interventions to treat or prevent eye diseases or visual impairment. For more information see www.cochraneeyes.org.

National Library for Health (Eyes and Vision Specialist Library)

The Eyes and Vision Specialist Library offers an online resource of clinical and non-clinical information on eye conditions and treatments. For more information, see www.library.nhs.uk/eyes.

European Vision Institute

The European Vision Institute (EVI) conducts and supports research training, the dissemination of health information regarding visual disorders, the coordination of basic and clinical research activities, and provides organisation and funding. EVI Clinical Trials Centres of Excellence

The European Vision Institute Clinical Trials Sites of Excellence (EVICTSE) is a network of European ophthalmological clinical research sites, dedicated to performing clinical research in ophthalmology with the highest standards of quality, following the European and international directives for clinical trial research. European Glaucoma Society

The European Glaucoma Society is a regional society established in 1984. Its primary role is teaching which it seeks to achieve through publications, presentations and courses to raise the standards of glaucoma detection and treatment throughout the region.  It has as a secondary feature, the promotion of research activity, and is currently looking at better methods for case finding across Europe, the establishment of a genetic database, and the investigation of glaucoma-related visual disability. National Eye Institute collaboration with Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group

The USA National Eye Institute conducts and supports research that helps prevent and treat eye diseases and other disorders of vision. For more information see www.nei.nih.gov
