Charitable funds have been vitally important to Moorfields since it opened in 1805. Today charitable support helps us to finance leading-edge research into the major causes of blindness and enables us to develop new treatments. They also make it possible for us to buy state-of-the-art equipment and improve our facilities, for the comfort and benefit of patients, in ways that could not be achieved within the limits of normal NHS funding.
Moorfields is proud of its reputation as one of the world’s leading eye centres and of its ability to help people with a wide range of complex and debilitating eye conditions. But we could not have achieved all this without the support of people like you.
