More than 200 members from the patient and public constituencies of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust attended our annual general meeting on 16 September 2010 to hear more about the work of the trust and provide feedback on their experiences with us.
Moorfields chief executive John Pelly provided a review of the year, highlighting some of our key achievements. This was followed by presentations from medical director Declan Flanagan on high quality care for patients and from Professor Peter Coffey from the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, who spoke about the latest developments in stem cell transplantation in eye disease.
The presentations were followed by a lively question and answer session, which raised many important issues for us to consider.
