Uveitis is the name given to inflammatory eye conditions, including those caused by autoimmune disorders and infections.

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has a dedicated uveitis service, where patients with acute and chronic disease are seen, and particular experience is available in the management of complex cases.

Advice can be given on all aspects of the medical and surgical management of all patients with these diseases, including children. There is also an active research programme investigating new ways of understanding the mechanisms of disease and investigating new therapeutic approaches.
